--{ new orleans 2003 }------
We went to New Orleans, and it was great. This is a brief picture travelogue.
Mmm. New Orleans at night. There are lots of these pictures.

The courtyard of the building in which we stayed. Although my picture of
it sucks, there is a statue of a frog hugging two fishes in the
courtyard. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?

The St. Louis cemetaries, #1 and #2. We had a great time there, and we
are not even goths.

The yard behind this club we dropped by. The club promised to have a band
who played instruments the members made themselves. We never made it back
to the club, which was too bad, because one of the instruments was
supposedly a 70-lb metal guitar.

More New Orleans at night. Mostly we tried to avoid the
post-MardiGras-ers, because they were fratty and smelled of vomit. But
we couldn't get too far, because we are pedestrians, and
cheap-non-cabfare-paying pedestrians as that. I should've taken pictures
of the indie club we ended up going to (the Shim Sham Club), but I didn't.

D.

Me.

Right after this, we watched the people at the Krispy Kreme make donuts. I should've taken a picture of that, too.
A gecko. So cute!

D and me, looking like dorks because it's really hard to take
pictures just holding the camera at arm's length and shooting.

A random street scene, during the day.

After D left, I went and crammed for my oral argument on Monday. There are no pictures of me cramming, nor of the hotel where I crammed, nor of the Tulane Law School, where the Fifth Circuit arguments were held that day. But oh well. That's probably for the best. I look so alien (to me) in a suit anyway.
